"Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" (1994)Despite high expectations, numerous celebrities and a huge bugdet, this Frankenstein adaptation was universally considered hugely disappointing.
According to one reviewer: "Energetic to a fault, with a camera that refuses to stand still. Branagh allows us to understand what makes Dr. F. tick, but the story goes askew once his monster is unleashed. And what's with that story framework with sea captain Quinn? De Niro's monster remains doggedly De Niro-ish, and makes one yearn for Karloff."
